On 24 February 2016 a Drop In event was held at Cardiff University as a combined USHA and AUE event.
This was an alternative and rare look at what the HSE licensed asbestos removal contractor and UKAS asbestos analyst actually do from their side of the fence.
This Practical Mock Up is invaluable to anyone who is having asbestos removal work undertaken on
their portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to see what goes on behind the enclosure inside the
asbestos removal ‘tent’ as it’s taped off and a no-go area. The Hygiene Units (Decontamination
Units) are usually off limits too.
This FREE roadshow is a simple drop-in event where a full asbestos removal site is established with 2 x Hygiene vehicles and full access for you to see the following:
- Full 1000 gauge polythene enclosure
- 3 Stage Airlock
- 3 stage Bag lock
- Mock AIB Ceiling removal
- Mock asbestos pipe-lagging removal
- Wet Injection Machines/Equipment
- HEPA Vacs
Here are some photos taken at the Cardiff event. Look out for the next Asbestos Road Show to be held near you on our Events page.
