AUE Members only please

The AUE Controls Group is pleased to announce that we are collaborating with DMS Metering Solutions to deliver two CIBSE-approved CPD sessions about heat metering and data collection.

Heat meters are used to measure the amount of thermal energy delivered by a heating or cooling system. They are critical to understanding the performance of existing heating systems so that system operators can make informed decisions around improving system efficiency.

Heat metering is also essential to the sizing, selection, and monitoring of low carbon heating systems, making them key to meeting the sector’s net zero ambitions.

Despite its importance, heat metering is anything but straightforward! There are many pitfalls surrounding the selection, installation, and setup of heat meters which can diminish both the quality of the data they provide, and the decisions they inform.

These sessions will address this challenge by exploring key considerations around the selection and installation of heat meters, and how to collect valuable data from them once in operation.

Both sessions will consist of the following:

A presentation delivered by Chris Bishop, Technical Director at DMS Metering Solutions

A Q&A session with an open discussion about members’ experiences with heat metering.

These sessions will create space for members to boost their CPD and have meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities around heat metering – we hope to see you there!
